Foreign Land
Four decades on and I’m still a stranger in this land… always distant, polite degrees of separation. Being a foreigner in your own town affords a certain detachment of perspective unavailable to most. The ability to view clearly without culture, history, or familial ties getting in the way. The longer I pursue Japan the more distant I become.
