Somewhat diffident and at times unsettled, I see the camera as refuge from a world I’m not always so comfortable with. Born on Guam, raised in Texas, and based in Japan, I’ve been photographing since receiving my first camera from my father in 1982 with the most basic of instruction; ‘keep the needle in the middle’. Four decades on I’m still chasing my art. I’m an airline geek and prolific walker with a weakness for coffee, avocados and all things Portugal.
