Foreign Land
Four decades on and I’m still a stranger in this foreign land… always at a distance, polite degrees of separation. Being a foreigner in your hometown affords a certain detachment of perspective unavailable to most. The ability to view clearly without culture, history, or emotional attachment getting in the way. The longer I pursue Japan the more distant I become.
